Apart from making the best field guide ever, they are also making major steps with Honor as well.

Jaunt Inc announced a world first in content and distribution partnerships. In a deal with Honor, under the Huawei Group, the new Honor 8 Pro handset will see Jaunt technology and content brought to a high-end handset right out of the box.

The Honor 8 Pro will be shipped with the Jaunt app pre-installed. In addition, the packaging of the phone will be a VR headset, giving Honor owners access to Jaunt’s library of over 200 original premium VR titles.

“This partnership reflects the synergy between our two brands”, said David Bomphrey, Director of Strategic Partnerships, EMEA, Jaunt VR. “It combines Jaunt’s continuing commitment to being the global leader in cinematic VR and the Honor brand, which was created to meet the needs of digital natives who demand superior user experiences, inspiring action and fostering creativity.

“At our core, we are a content and media company that helps people make and distribute amazing virtual experiences, so we are very excited that owners of the Honor Pro 8 can now experience high-quality cinematic virtual reality from the moment they get their handset. We see this partnership marking a shift in the adoption of virtual reality as a mainstream media platform”, Bomphrey added.

Through this partnership, Jaunt and Honor will reach new audiences on a global scale. The handset will be released across the world with Jaunt’s user interface now supporting 28 languages and making it the first VR major content application to localise its content experience to better serve a worldwide audience.

“At Honor, we’re focused not just on engineering devices with breakthrough performance. Our partnership with Jaunt enables Honor to further our commitment to crafting the next-generation experiences to customers”, said Gang Zhao, Head of Honor Overseas Business.

Pre-order of the device will start on 5th April on vmall.eu for Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Switzerland.
