Brett Ineson has close to 20 years’ experience in visual effects and sits on the board of the Motion Capture Society. He has worked in virtual production with industry leaders such as Weta Digital and in technology development with Vicon, Lightstorm Entertainment and Autodesk.
In 2004, Brett founded Animatrik Film Design with the express purpose of providing the most up-to-date, efficient performance capture and virtual production services. The Vancouver-based studio is home to the largest independent motion capture stage in North America. Animatrik’s 17 years of experience in capturing performance, across a wide range of situations, allows for the deep analysis of both human and animal locomotion.
Brett also provides AR on set for major blockbusters, such as in recent production for Deadpool 2. Crew can actually look through virtual cameras to see their fictionalised world overlap with the live action set – a prime example of AR technology in filmmaking.
